foodlife is expanding to make room for “foodease market”
A 4,500-square-foot market featuring restaurant-quality food prepared to-go, scheduled to open early fall 2011 on the mezzanine level at Water Tower Place

CHICAGO (June 2011) – Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants Inc. (LEYE) has even more to celebrate during its 40th anniversary year. foodlife at Water Tower Place, an urban dining venue with 14 distinctive kitchens, will be expanding its market concept across the mezzanine to become the new foodease market. The 4,500-square-foot foodease market will feature restaurant-quality food prepared to go, as well as dine-in seating for 50. foodease market will be open every day of the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

foodease market will cater to Michigan Avenue area residents, shoppers, workers and tourists. Guests will enjoy fresh food made from scratch daily and the largest selection of wines to-go on Michigan Ave.

New Features

Wine Bar - Grab friends and savor wines available by the glass or flight selected by LEYE Master Sommelier Alpana Singh. The bar also will feature wines on tap. Pair them with an array of spreads, cheeses, charcuterie and mini sandwiches from the bar’s own special menu.
Wine Shop - Featuring over 200 wines for sale. Guests can enjoy the wine and cheese tasting table to sample the Wine of the Month. Exclusive LEYE Wine Club wines also will be available.
Cold Salad Bar - Over 100 fresh ingredients featuring greens, seeds, fruits and grains locally sourced whenever possible. In addition, chef prepared salads will be featured, including the Mity Nice Chopped and foodease market signature Asian Noodle salads.
Hot Entrée Bar - Your favorite comfort foods, including mac & cheese, meatloaf, chicken meatballs, oven roasted turkey and salmon. Selections will change daily and will feature themed nightly specials, such as Taco Night.
Sandwich Counter - Featuring five chef created sandwiches or build-your-own.
Sushi Bar - Grab-N-Go case featuring a full menu of maki, nigiri, and hand rolls available for immediate purchase or custom-made to order.
Soup Bar - Five of your favorite foodlife soups will be featured daily. Fresh baked bread and crackers also will be available. The bar will feature oatmeal with toppings and cream of wheat for breakfast.
Gourmet Food Counter - With something for everyone from crab cakes, spinach and jack cheese quesadillas to stuffed peppers and double-baked potatoes.
Bakery Counter - Self-serve selections from Sacred Ground’s Bakery & Café include morning buns, muffins, scones, cookies and brownies. Selections will vary throughout the day.
Chocolate Room - Featuring a selection of foodease market favorite chocolates, including local, fair-trade and artisanal products. This intimate room promises to attract all chocolate lovers.
The Freezer - Stocked with prepared foods including pizza, TV dinners, cookie dough and ice cream. An assortment of gluten-free products also will be available.
Farm Stand - A variety of locally sourced, seasonal fruits and vegetables will be available daily.
Coffee Bar - Chicago’s favorite roasters Metropolis, Intelligentsia and La Colombe will be available for self-serve and freshly ground by the pound.
Kitchen Table - This multipurpose table will provide samples, chef demos and tastings scheduled weekly.
Retail Corner - Local, well known restaurant products and some of foodease market’s favorite culinary tools will be found here.
Coke Free Style - Create the ultimate beverage experience with over 100 drink choices.
Create Your Own Trail Mix Bar - Mix and match over 30 selections of nuts, dried fruit, seeds and grains.

Freshii is your destination for healthy fast food. You can order from their menu or delivery of fresh salads, wraps, brown rice bowls, and soups, or create your own version of any of these. Each month, Freshii gives three customers the chance to showcase their own creations in a special monthly menu. The customers compete to see whose item sells the best. Stop in to Freshii and sample this month’s specials, or create your own. Maybe your item will be in the spotlight next month! (located on the Ground Level, Rear Lobby)

M Burger Water Tower Place features seating for 50 people in a freshly designed, contemporary space befitting the North Michigan Avenue retail district that is a stylistic departure from our locations in Streeterville, River North and Thompson Center. Offering the same juicy burgers, golden fries and creamy shakes as our other locations, Water Tower Place has an expanded ice cream selection including chocolate, vanilla and strawberry cones; dipped cones with toppings of hot fudge, crunchy peanut butter, butterscotch or toasted almond with coconut; and hot fudge, strawberry, hot caramel and espresso sundaes. Draft selections of Miller Lite and Goose Island Green Line are also available (this location only).

Macy’s Taste Bar is a quick-service gourmet food and coffee bar where customers can pick up a quick bite before, during or after shopping. At the entrance of the store, the Taste Bar is always busy, has fresh salads, soups, sandwiches, beverages (everything from soda, water and Macy’s signature drinks), gelato, crunchy snacks and healthy options.
