In April 2010, Broadway In Chicago added a new location to their family of theaters: the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place. In the 1970s, the building was originally built to house The Drury Lane Theatre and, over the years, went from theatre to movie theatre and back to the legitimate theatre, Drury Lane Water Tower. Prior to its acquisition, Broadway In Chicago presented the year-and-a-half run of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, as well as SHOUT and XANADU at the Drury Lane Theatre. After an extensive make-over to give the space an exciting new look, the Broadway Playhouse reopened in September 2010 with a four-night inaugural engagement of AN EVENING WITH SUTTON FOSTER. The renovation included a new entrance, lobby re-configuration, as well as a transformation of the interior décor that reflects a more modern look.

This venue, located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, gives Broadway In Chicago the ability to attract productions better suited for an intimate theatre, and this intimate and unique venue has allowed the company to expand the theatrical experiences offered. Since its grand reopening, the Broadway Playhouse has hosted such hits as the tour premiere of TRACES, a newly adapted version of the musical WORKING, Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron’s international hit LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE, the critically acclaimed Broadway hit COLIN QUINN: LONG STORY SHORT and the world-wide party musical ROCK OF AGES.

Chico’s was founded in 1983 as a small boutique selling Mexican folk art on Sanibel Island in Florida. Then one day, our founders discovered the sweater that made literally everyone look fabulous, pivoted the business and retail was never the same. The rich colors, bold prints, unique artisanal details, problem-solving styles, and amazing personal stylists made a lasting connection with customers. Now there are over 600 Chico’s boutiques nationwide, international (franchise) partners, and a monthly mailer.
From the beginning, we’ve believed in the power of originality—that what’s different makes us bold. And we design with this philosophy in mind. For every piece we create, we ask how it will be unique, inspire women to feel good (no matter their age), and help them express their personality and individuality with confidence.

Who Says You Can’t Have It All…

IT’S REAL FASHION, BUT CRAFTED LIKE COUTURE

From sketch to prototype to final product, we craft our pieces with the same approach as the world’s design houses. Our onsite design studios give us the edge—there we create curated collections in the highest quality fabrics with intricate details and a tailor-made feel. The only thing missing is the designer price tag.

IT’S PUTTING TOGETHER YOUR SIGNATURE STYLE

Work, weekend, whatever—each piece in our collection is designed with versatility in mind. Our expert stylists will show you how to get more mileage from everything you wear. Plus they’re always here to help with not only transforming your closet and tracking down that one elusive item, but also being available before or after working hours because we know that more time is priceless.

IT’S A FIT THAT’S FAR SUPERIOR TO OUR COMPETITORS

We take fit seriously. Our collections undergo a series of rigorous tests to ensure the fabric fits real women’s bodies. Each piece is worn, washed and tweaked to perfection—from seam to hem to hardware—no detail is overlooked. The end result is clothing that moves effortlessly with women’s on-the- go, multifaceted lives.

IT’S A PRICE THAT SURPRISES IN A GOOD WAY

We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for price. Value is a given with everything we do. Case in point, 90% of our collection is machine washable. It’s the price we pay to give you what you want…without the sticker shock.
